  1. Session 1: Introduction to NYSCEF in the NYC Civil Court - 65 min
Join the NYSCEF Resource Center for a guided introduction to the NYSCEF program, tailored specifically for NYC Civil Court staff. This session will provide a brief but insightful history of how NYSCEF was introduced into the Civil Court, along with an overview of the key rules and Administrative Orders that govern its use. We’ll demonstrate how to navigate critical resources on the NYSCEF website—tools every Civil Court staff member should know. The session wraps up with a walkthrough of the e-file, focusing on the Document List and Case Details screens to help staff confidently locate and interpret key case information.
  2. Session 2: Mastering the NYSCEF To-Do List and Court Filing Tools - 48 mins
Think of the NYSCEF To-Do List as your virtual stack of papers—it's where the court’s daily e-filed work comes to life. In this session, Civil Court staff will experience navigating the To-Do List, exploring the variety of actions that can be taken to manage filings efficiently. We'll also demonstrate how to e-file court-generated documents and filings from non-participating parties using the "File Court Document" option. Finally, we'll clarify what triggers a paper case in UCMS-LC to convert into NYSCEF, focusing on currently authorized case types: No-Fault and Consumer Credit.
