Pursuant to the authority vested in me, and with the advice and consent of the
Administrative Board of the Courts, I hereby authorize the expansion of the development and
deployment by the Unified Court System’s Division of Technology of a system or systems for
use of electronic signatures (“e-signatures”) by UCS judicial and non-judicial staff, as well as
attorneys and parties to matters before the courts, as authorized by Administrative Order
AO/138/16 and AO/117/17, to include all matters in Supreme Court, New York City Civil Court,
and in the City Courts, District Courts and Surrogate’s Courts throughout the State of New
York. Such system or systems shall comply with the requirements of the New York State
Electronic Signatures and Records Act (State Technology Law §§301 et seq.).
This order shall be effective immediately.
